tHE CUBIC LIFE FOUNDATION RECEIVES A GRANT  TO PROMOTE WELLNESS IN Waukesha County

The Cubic Life Foundation was awarded a grant by the Waukesha County Medical Society to promote health and wellness in Waukesha County, located in Wisconsin, USA.  According to the Waukesha County Health Report Card, Waukesha County received a grade of C+ for overall health and wellness. Through the Waukesha County Community Wellness Seminar, Cubic Life Foundation provided resources as well as facilitated open dialogue to empower Waukesha County residents to make informed decisions towards improving their health and balance.

The Wellness Seminar had four main components:

  • Individual health screenings

  • An interactive group presentation and activities focused on a model for effectively assessing and building balance

  • A group practicum on healthy eating and calorie intake

  • Provision of resources to foster effective and sustainable change, including the option for 6 months of individualized coaching focused on any of 6 life domains

The initiative was both impactful and transformational. The vast majority of participants (91%) who completed an anonymous survey either agreed or strongly agreed that the seminar covered useful information. Likewise, many participants (83%) strongly agreed that the main guest speaker presented information in a thought provoking and helpful way. While many participants agreed that they planned to make changes in their eating habits and in their activity level based on information presented in the seminar, most striking was the number of participants (78%) who agreed or strongly agreed that they planned to make changes in other life areas apart from health. Participants had an increased desire and self-efficacy to build a more balanced life.
